I took some time

I challenged myself today to make a card for my cousin's bridal shower using some scraps I had in one of my craft keepers. The cake was colored lightly then glossed over with Crystal effects and sprinkled with glitter. I hit it with my heat gun because I needed it to dry fast and that created a bubbly look. You can't really see unless you look carefully but the bottom of the card has the paisleys stamped from double line doodle in taken with teal.

I actually got to do a card for an actual occasion and I used any old stamp I wanted. That was so fun!

Stamps: Year after Year, Cute Converse (old hostess set), Double line doodle
Ink: Taken with teal, brocade blue, purely pomegranate, soft sky
Card Stock: Taken with teal, whisper white, green galore
Accessories: Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Piercing tool and guide

Halloween craft

These little guys are for my son's class for a Halloween "treat". The school is discouraging suggary junk food so I came up with this idea out of JoAnn's $1 isle. I'm pleased with the results. We're going to make some spiders and bats for our house (sans pencils).

Flower Power

Turn your scallop circle punched shapes into flowers by cutting slits down to the center! For me this is one of those simple pleasures where every time I do it I get a thrill of satisfaction. Maybe my life needs a little more excitement.

A Cased Card for the soldiers

I saw a card very similar to this and had to recreate it (by memory)
But loved the whole idea of making the window matte with the 1 3/8"
square punch. Then leaving some of the leaves of the flowers "outside
of the box". I watercolored the image using the Watercolor wonder
crayons. I got the idea from Running with scissors. Take a look over
at her blog, she has great ideas.

Stamp set: Oh, So Lovely (hostess)
Accessories: watercolor wonder crayons, aquapainter
The papers are really old and don't know the maker.
