Blog Candy At last!! -- This is a challenge for blog candy

This is what you've been waiting for... The secret day has arrived and now I'm unveiling the challenge. (The picture of the candy will post later I can't find the cord to charge my camera)

The Challenge: Use the scraps of a recent project. Make any shape of project: card, mini book, scrapbook page, or anything else you can think of. Use embellishments that you have been hoarding! Only spend one hour on the project tops. Comment with a link to your project. I will be drawing a winner with random.org on Friday morning Sept 7th.

Here's what I came up with:

I used some coasters I had laying around, My new bashful blue taffeta ribbon, the large eyelets and some scraps from a card set, also a scrap of acetate on the last page. Remember, your project doesn't have to be this involved!

Office Update

Here is my closet half filled. It isn't organized very well yet but I just couldn't stand having everything all over the living room any more.

Here is my progress on the office. I finished my desk that is from the Store in Style brand. I love having the options of what cubes you want. It ended up being a lot longer than I imagined. Now for filling the drawers!

Stampin Granny's Gatefold challenge

Here is my latest version of a gate fold card. I'm going for the mystery blog candy at StampinGranny's blog. I just bought a cuddlebug last week and thought I would give it a spin at the same time. The white circle reads "friend" but since I can't hold still long enough for a shutter w/o a flash... Anyway, enjoy. On the embossed flower I outlined it with a chocolate chip marker to give it more definition.

Stamp Set: On the Spot (Hostess level 2)
Card Stock: White, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Old Olive
Ink: White craft, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Stylized flowers and flower circle embossing folders for cuddlebug

Office Makeover

I'm so excited, the end is in sight! These closet shelves have been
consuming all of our time for the past week and a half.
I will be really glad to remove all of the crafting stuff I had to
put in the living room until this was complete.
My husband gets all the due credit of building it. I first had
to come up with what I wanted/ needed. That was hard.
Now I'm deciding where everything goes. We had the printer
on the desk for the last year and I'm so glad to move it
out of the way. There is enough on the desk as it is.
I'll display my progress as I go.

The next installment of the huge layout

So here is the third page from the Spray park lay out. I am actually stuck in the middle. I don't have a page 4 yet but have finished the 5th and 6th pages. That's just how I work. You'll notice that I used the same pictures a couple of times through out the lo but I feel it jut focuses on the images in different ways. I just cut out the Suns from the Around the Block paper and used them to accessorize the page.

Stamp Set: Headline Alphabet
Ink: Real Red craft
Card Stock: Only Orange, Cool Caribbean, Brilliant Blue
Paper by Around the Block
Accessories: Stampin Dimensionals

In Honor of my Birthday Yesterday...

This is the card that I made for a swap recently. I wanted to challenge myself to use Cameo Coral more so I used it with Chocolate Chip (my favorite) and Old Olive. I constructed the giant scalloped circle by cutting the circle with my Coluzzle and then using my small corner rounder to make the scallops. You may notice that on the inner circle I stamped the leaf off of the circle and cut around it. That was cool to do because it was one less thing to glue down when I was making 20 of them. The Chocolate Chip base of the card is 1/3 of a sheet of card stock scored at 5 1/2.

Stamp Sets: Pick a Petal, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Hugs and Wishes
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Cameo Coral, old olive
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Cameo Coral, Old Olive
Papers: Linen Prints
Accessories: Coluzzel, Corner Rounder

Spray Park Installment 1

(click on image to see larger view)
I can't believe that it's been five whole days since my last post!! I've been working on a more involved scrapbook layout and I didn't want to post it until I was finished. Since it's taking so long I've had a change of heart and will just post two pages at a time instead. So here's the first installment of my daughters birthday (last year) at the spray park. These pages are viewed side by side.

Card stock: Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise, Brilliant Blue, Only Orange
Papers: Around the block, DWAV
Stickers: Letters from Target $1 section and
The Letters from Title on the Right side cut with Cricut

Let's just call this Flashback Monday

Or flashback Tuesday? Anyway I did this SB page at a worshop
almost two years ago for my friend Michelle. She provided the pictures and
I went from there. It is one of those progressive pages, where you start with a 6 x 6 then add to an 8 1/2 x 11, then move on to a 12 x 12. This was the display page and at the workshop I
made the companion page (which I do not have a picture of) that said
"Halloween" embossed in white.

Stamps: Carved & Candlelit, Word by Word, Letterpress Alpha
Card stock: Not quite navy, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Whisper White
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, VersaMark
Accessories: Hodge Podge Hardware, eyelets, Chocolate Grosgrain Ribbon, Staples. Linen Thread

Princess Page

This is the page we made in my Scrapbook Club last night. Sorry about
the flash glare, I'm too tired to try again or do any fancy editing. If you want
to see the real pictures I have a photo collage on my family blog.

Up close and personal with the chipboard accent we used.
I just let everyone use any big accent in the On Board Accents.
Then we used the direct to paper technique to make the accent
silver with the Encore silver ink pad. After it dried, we stamped
and embossed with the circles in the Priceless set.

Stamp sets: Priceless, Letterpress Alpha
Card stock: River Rock,Basic Grey, Purely Pomegranate, Very Vanilla, Elegant Eggplant
Ink: River Rock, Basic Grey, Purely Pomegranate, Very Vanilla,
Elegant Eggplant, Encore Silver, Versamark
Accessories: Vintage Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals, Silver EP, On Board Accents
